WRAP UP | JANUARY 2015

This month's reading went OK. I wanted to read a lot more, but hey.. life happens. I really enjoyed these books. I was not disappointed at all. Let's get into a little more detail about each of the books and I'll link my reviews to them as well. January I got a total of 6 books read, 3 graphic novels, 1 stand alone and the first two books in the Hunger Games series. I was in love with them all.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games #1): ★★★★
After years and years of hearing how amazing this series was and the movies... I finally caved and picked them up. Now, I was never against it, it just wasn't something that called my attention. As soon as I finished the first book, I was hooked. I'm totally a fangirl now!

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games #2): ★★★★
I was really interested in seeing how the story was going to move forward. Like, how are they going to top that epicness in the first book. Well she did. It was so good. I am completely connected to these characters. So good!

Saga: Volume 1: Issues 1-6 by Brian K. Vaughan (Saga #1): ★★★★
Oh man, this graphic, graphic novel was so good. Two species at war, one couple trying to take care of their family. This story follows their journey and you get to see how they deal with the bumps along the way. The last page was AWESOME!

Saga: Volume 2: Issues 7-12 by Brian K. Vaughan (Saga #2): ★★★★
Things got interesting in this one. I love that the story is told through Marko & Alana's daughter's voice. There's something so innocent and badass at the same time. I really love the adventures I'm being taken on as I follow this little family just trying to get by.

Saga Volume 3: Issues 13-18 by Brian K. Vaughan (Saga #3): ★★★★
Now we're getting somewhere. They have been through some shit in the last 2 books, this one is nuts. Definitely for adults ONLY. I'm really enjoying the characters and the plot development. I can't wait to read #4.

Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick: ★★★★
Words cannot express what this book means to me. An adult contemporary dealing with mental illness. I fell in love with Patrick's character, and then when we meet Tiffany, man... she's something else. This story is so realistic and heartwarming really. I would recommend this to everyone. It's a great read for sure.

All in all, I really enjoyed every single thing I read this month. I wish I could have a got a few more books in there, but the quality of what I did get to read was amazing. I didn't read what was on my original TBR because I just had a shift in mood. Hope everyone had a great reading month!
