I am being VERY ambitious this month with my book choices. I mean A Game of Thrones alone is going to be challenging. However, if I am able to get to the others that will be wonderful. I have a very eclectic TBR for this month. I want to read as many genres as I can this year so I'm just jumping around this month. I've included the GoodReads links below along with a small synopsis on what the book is about or what you can expect.
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games #3)
The third book in The Hunger Games series. This is the last one. I'm sad and excited. This story follows Katniss and her revolution against the Capitol. It is the final installment in this epic adventure. I can't say much because of spoilers, but yea.. It's gonna be good.
Fairest by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5)
This is the prequel to Cinder by Marissa Meyer. In Cinder we meet Queen Levana, who is from the the Moon, her kind use "glamour" to make people see them as only beautiful. This story gives us more about Queen Levana's story.
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin (A Song of Ice and Fire #1)
From what I understand this is a Fantasy setting in a world where the balance of the weather is off. Summers last years and years and now the cold is coming. It's filled with adventures, magic and love. I know this is now an HBO series, so I'm excited to finish this and watch season 1.
The Diary of Darcy J. Rhone by Emily Giffin (Darcy & Rachel #0.5)
This is the prequel to Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin. We get to meet Darcy as a teenager in her short book about her diary. Not sure what to expect, but it is only an e-book, and it was so hard to find. Hope it was worth the work.
Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin (Darcy & Rachel #1)
Something Borrowed follows two best friends. You see the things adults go through while relationships are figured out and futures are planned. And sometimes the unexpected throws everything off. I have seen the movie and I was happy to learn it was a book.
Saga: Volume 4: Issues 19-24 by Brian K. Vaughan (Saga #4)
The most recent installment of Saga is out already. In this one we're still following the family on their obstacles to finding some peace. Not sure what to expect from this one. Hope its good.
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles #2)
Little Red Riding Hood. Don't know how Cinder and Scarlet's stories will come together, but I know grandma is missing and Queen Levana is up to no good. Prince Kai is up for grabs. I loved Cinder and I can't wait to see what Scarlet is all about.
