WRAP UP | APRIL 2015

Insurgent by Veronica Roth
★★★
I made the mistake of watching the movie while I was in the middle of the book. MY BAD! All in all... I liked the book. It took me FOREVER to read, Tris kind of irritated me more in this installment than she had in the first book. BUT overall it was good. Wish I had waited to see the movie, the book had more details I enjoyed but the movie was pretty bad ass with the choices they made.

I Am Legend by Richard Matheson
★★★★
I was so pleasantly surprised by this story. It was super short, and to the point. Robert Neville is basically the last human alive. Surrounded by vampires, he is trying to figure out why and how... all while trying to to go insane, and then some crazy stuff happens.

Something Blue by Emily Giffin
★★★
I really liked this one. It was just a nice fluffy book to read. It follows Darcy who was just cheated on, found out she's pregnant with this loser's baby and now she has to figure it all out. Her mother is angry with her, she misses her best friend (who betrayed her) and so on. It was a fun read. I loved watching Darcy mature into a wonderful woman and mother.

Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James
★★★★
Judge all you want. I LOVED this ending to the Fifty Shades series. It was so good. We got a nice ending and it really dealt with all of Christians short comings. He has some serious deep rooted issues, and Ana really sticks by his side and loves him through it all.

Fifty Shades Darker by E.L. James
★★★
This one got a little better than the first one. In this second installment all of Christian's issues really come to light. Ana really digs into why he is who he is and starts to learn so much about him. It's getting more and more pleasureable to read. The first book was NOT my favorite.

Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L.James
★★☆☆
Aside from the poor writing, this one just SCREAMS TWILIGHT! I mean, really! I like the idea of the story. Which is why I ended up continuing with the series. I promise it gets better. Just push through it.

A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
★★★★
Badassery at it's finest. I don't want to spoil anyone, but ddddddaaaayum! I just love this series. It is so complicated and awesome. It is written beautifully and the characters are awesome. So much death and twists. It's really good.
