Synopsis
Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison--even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive. Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing.

It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

My Review
This one took me by surprise. I really enjoyed Cinder, but I was so eager to meet the rest of these awesome girls. We start off by being introduced to Scarlet, who is at a dead end when it comes to her missing grandmother Michelle. Everything develops and the story line goes between Scarlet in search for her grandmother and Cinder who is escaping from prison. It's exciting and it's fast paced.

We really get to see what a strong young lady Scarlet is. She really is on a mission to save her grandmother and nothing or no one is going to stop her. She definitely goes through some major obstacles and she questions a lot of things, but her determination never falters.

Cinder is trying to save herself, and Prince Kai. We really get into the mental struggle the new Emporer is going through when it comes to Queen Levana and Cinder. The Queen wants to be Empress and prince Kai, may not have a choice. We see his struggle and we see how Cinder is finding out about herself and her past... let's see where that gets her!

I really enjoyed this read, I couldn't put it down. I am hoping to start Cress VERY soon because these characters are addicting.
