I was actually able to get quite a few
books read in the month of March. I came in at 8 books, which I believe is the
most I’ve ever read in one month. Pretty solid if you ask me! I read a wide
variety of books this month, some adult, some YA, fantasy, re-tellings… I read
it all. Here’s what I read in March:
Saga Volume 4 by Brian K. Vaughan
★★★☆☆
We are really getting to see the issues and complications in this little family. I’m really enjoying this graphic novel series. I’m excited to continue. It’s definitely for adults only, the story really covers relate able topics even tho it’s based on a completely different series and world.

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
★★★★☆
This is some high fantasy badassery! Like, really tho! I cannot believe how much this story sucked me in. I’m obsessed now. It is so full of details and the world is like none-other I have ever read about. It truly is something fantastic. I’m a huge fan.

Cress by Marissa Meyer

Marissa Meyer can do NO
wrong for me. She has taken the Lunar Chronicles and created such a great cast
of characters. I have met Cinder (Cinderella), Scarlet (Little Red Riding
Hood), and Cress (Repunzel). In this third book in the series we get to focus
on Cress’ story. I don’t want to give anything away, but it’s good!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
★★★★★
I finally finished this incredible series. I’m a grown woman, and I regret not reading this when I was younger. I got so much out of this even now as an adult. If you have kids or you, yourself have not picked up this series, please do so. It is life changing to say the least. This last book in the series just brought out all the feels. BEAUTIFUL!

YESSSSSSS! I didn’t think this book was going to be a must read for me. I picked it up because it was on sale and OMG, I’m so glad I did. You really get a sense of who Queen Levana is and why she is the evil woman she is today. Not saying I understand, but you get a good picture and it just makes sense. I really enjoyed this book and I’m so excited for Winter.

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
★★★☆☆
What really drew me to this story was the movie.
I like reading adult books, but I have very few that I love. Sex is always a
part of those books and sometimes it’s too graphic for my taste, but this one
was perfect. I really enjoyed reading about Rachael and Darcy. Their friendship
is so complicated. I had some concern because if the infidelity in the book,
but Emily Giffin really made you think with this one. I enjoyed it, didn’t love
it, but it was good.

What a creepy world and weird characters. I
loved it. It was so whimsical in kind of a gothic way. Obviously this is a dark
and twisted children’s book. It was so good. I really enjoy the way Neil Gaiman
writes, its always so creepy and mysterious, always draws you in. It was a
short book but jam packed with mystery and adventure. Coraline the movie was a
little dark, but the book is way creepier. I loved it.

This book
blew my mind. The main reason I picked it up is because I really want to go see
Insurgent and like many bookworms, I HAD to read the book before seeing the
movie, and well I had to read the first book in the series in order to get to
Insurgent. It was amazing. Tris is such a bad ass chick, and OMG Four! I
understand everyone’s love for him now! SO GOOD!
